Everything you need to know about Grand National tickets — whether they're on sale, what each enclosure costs, which day to go, hospitality, and how to buy safely.
In short: tickets for the 2027 Randox Grand National Festival (8–10 April) are on sale now through the official Aintree box office. Prices currently start from £39 for the Festival Zone and go up to £140 for the Princess Royal Seats & Gallery, with hospitality boxes and restaurant packages on top. We're an independent guide — we don't sell tickets — so always book through the official Aintree website.
Yes. Aintree Racecourse, run by The Jockey Club, already has 2027 tickets and hospitality on sale for all three days of the festival — Opening Day (Thursday 8 April), Ladies Day (Friday 9 April) and Grand National Day (Saturday 10 April). Tickets typically go on sale many months ahead, and the most in-demand enclosures on the Friday and Saturday can sell out well before raceday, so it pays to book early.
These are the "from" prices listed on the official Aintree site as of October 2026. Prices vary by day — Grand National Day is generally the most expensive — and can rise as the meeting gets closer.

The Festival Zone is the cheapest way into the Grand National and has a lively, sociable atmosphere. The Embankment is another popular outdoor option with a relaxed feel — but be aware that it doesn't give you access to the main course, so check it suits what you want from the day.
The Earl of Derby and Lord Sefton Terraces sit in the heart of the action and include access to view the Parade Ring and Winners' Enclosure — ideal if you want to see the horses up close before they race.
If seeing the race is the priority, the roof enclosures (Lord Daresbury, Princess Royal and Queen Mother) give you height over the course, and the reserved grandstand seats guarantee you a place to watch from. These are the pricier options but the best way to follow a four-and-a-quarter-mile race.
For a special occasion or corporate day out, Aintree offers restaurant packages, private boxes, Pavilion Executive Boxes and Grandstand Boxes — the latter with your own private balcony overlooking the course. Hospitality is priced separately and books up early for Grand National Day.
Thursday (Opening Day) is usually the quietest and best value, with top-class Grade 1 racing. Friday is Ladies Day, one of the biggest social and fashion days of the year. Saturday is Grand National Day — the biggest crowds, the biggest atmosphere and, generally, the highest prices. The National itself is off at 4:00pm.
There's no official dress code at the Grand National — Aintree encourages racegoers to dress to feel their best, but asks for no fancy dress, sportswear, or team colours and kits. For outfit ideas and the Style Awards, see our Aintree Ladies Day guide.
Aintree is on Ormskirk Road, Liverpool L9 5AS, with its own station on Merseyrail's Northern Line right beside the course. For travel, parking and more on the venue, see our Aintree Racecourse guide.
